The brand strategy company Figure NY challenged us to bring Marcia Patmos’ M.PATMOS line into the world of e-commerce. Armed with only an existing wordmark, we developed a lasting style guide and aesthetic voice to convey Marcia’s conscious and innovative design principles, brought on our frequent collaborators in Camp Quiet to customize the shit out of a new Shopify theme, and helped art direct a few seasonal photoshoots.

Marcia’s pieces are beautiful and graphic, with a strong sense of color and a purposeful story behind each decision made in her process. We wanted the website itself to take a step back, acting as a subtle container, using shades of grey or muted color to allow the garments to speak for themselves.

For the Pre-Fall 2014 collection, we commissioned artist James Ulmer to paint large, stark graphic shapes as backdrops for photographer Bibi Cornejo Borthwick, accentuating the bursts of color featured in many of the pieces.
